Provenance exists to make public-interest evidence easier to inspect, explain, and correct without losing the source trail.
The mission is to help researchers, journalists, advocates, archivists, and careful public contributors work from evidence first. Records should remain connected to their sources, and important decisions should remain auditable.
The project is still pre-alpha. Public pages, investigation progress, and review workflows are being built incrementally, so early screens may show a limited part of the intended system.
